On January 1 2006 Robert Jennings was out walking his dog and when crossing a highway was hit by a pickup truck. Four days later he passed away from his injurys. He was just 7 days from his 10th birthday.

But this story starts two years ago, when his Father William Jennings and Grandfather Bill Jennings found this old Chevy out in a field. The car set there all this time till Robert told his dad he wanted to pull it home and make it his project car. His plans where to learn how to rebuild the car and have it done by the time he got his drivers license. Two weeks before Robert was struck by the truck his dad and grandfather had pulled it out of the field and gave it to him.

Robert had big plans for his car and told his dad just how he wanted it to turn out. He knew how he wanted the engine built and even the color he wanted the car painted.

Roberts dad and grandfather have told us that they plan to go ahead with this project and build the car just as he wanted it to be, as a tribute to Robert.
